Servicio Andaluz de Salud (SAS) is an autonomous body attached to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Government of Andalusia in the South of Spain. Its mission is to provide public quality health care to the citizens, seeking efficiency and optimum use of resources. SAS is formed by 47 public hospitals and 33 health districts with 1,514 primary care centres where R & D takes place.
In this project will be involved the Healthcare Area of the Province of Cordoba, with three hospitals, and it will be centralised in the Reina Sofia University Hospital (RSUH), which is a centre for specialized medical care, teaching and research in health sciences, located in the city of Cordoba. Its service portfolio covers all specialized clinic areas. The RSUH has more than 1.300 beds and takes part in more than 100 clinical trials since 2009; most of them phase II and III.
This project will be carried out by the ICT Service at the Reina Sofia University Hospital that is in charge of ICT systems design and support, ICT projects implementation and software development. This Service gives coverage to all public health care settings within the province of Cordoba, including Hospitals and other settings in rural areas.

IT and Systems Engineer, he is Responsible for Information Security at Reina Sofia University Hospital.

Manuel is expert in data protection and information security in the Health area, and he has extensive experience on e-Health and information security and patient safety.

David Calvo

MBA working as Head of the Innovation Department at IMIBIC. He has more than 7 years working experience in technology transfer with universities in Spain and Latin America as well as experience as business analyst in a Spanish venture capital fund specialized in start-ups. As innovation manager, he is responsible for identifying potential assets resulting from research and clinical practice; defining strategies for intellectual property protection; actively seeking public-private partnerships supporting and promoting entrepreneurial activity.

Carmen González Alegre

Chemical Engineer working as project manager at IMIBIC-FIBICO. Her main responsibility is to manage a Public Procurement Project granted to the University of Córdoba by the Ministry of Economy of Spain, and participated by IMIBIC and the Reina Sofia University Hospital.
She also has experience as Innovation Consultant identifying research, development and innovation.

José Carlos Prieto, PhD

Biologist working as international project manager at IMIBIC. He has several years’ experience in research in Spain, Poland the United Kingdom. He has been involved in project management since 2004 as a Marie Curie Fellow. He is University Expert on International RDI Project Management, and has worked at regional level as Contact Point in FP7-Health, KBBE, ENV and PEOPLE. He gives support to IMIBIC and RSUH for the management and application for international projects, also those oriented to Public Procurement of Innovative Solutions.
