Ana del Prado
Ana del Prad holds a Chemistry degree, by the Autonomous University of Madrid. In
addition, she has studied in 2013 the advanced management programme at IE Business
School and in 2011 the senior management program in healthcare institutions, at IESE
Business School. Ana has been working as a Public Health Care System professional for over
ten years in Hospital Services Management. She works at the Hospital Universitario La Paz
since 2003, initially carrying out tasks of Environmental Care Manager, and since 2009 she is
the Associate Director General Services Management. In addition, she also counts on seven
years of experience in private industry as environmental consultant in the pharmaceutical
industry. She is also the President of the Spanish Association for Environmental Management
in Health Care Centres.
F. Gutiérrez-Larraya holds a Medical degree and a PhD degree in Pediatrics by the
Complutense University of Madrid and he has the Diploma as Pediatric Cardiologist by
national and international organizations. He is the Head of Pediatric Cardiology Department
at Hospital Universitario La Paz from 2007. Also, he is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at
the Autonomous University of Madrid. He has a Master Degree in Health Management by the
European Institute of Health in Madrid, a PDD Degree at IESE Business School and a Health
Management Diploma by ESADE in Madrid. He has broad experience in hemodynamics and
cardiology management with industry. He belongs to major professional societies, national
and international and has broad experience in multiple commissions.
Mario Álvarez Gallego
Mario Álvarez Gallego holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery by the University of Alcalá
de Henares, (Madrid, Spain); General Surgery Residency and Gastroenterology at the
University Hospital of La Paz, Madrid (2005-2010). Since January 2010, he works as general
surgeon at La Paz Hospital, within the Colorectal Unit.
He has been the principal investigator of the National multicenter clinical trial CCRE-IV
(Multicenter randomized clinical trial in patients with colorectal cancer with unresectable
metastases; Impact of tumor resection vs. chemotherapy alone on survival).
